Dental Bridges Bismarck
One or more missing teeth not only leave a hole in your smile, they can lead to a void in your confidence. Those who are affected by tooth-loss understand that having a smile you can feel good about is precious. The good news is that our caring dentist knows this too.
Everett E. Heringer, D.D.S. has been transforming smiles in the Great Plains for many years. He offers dental bridges in his Bismarck office for patients who wish to correct areas affected by missing teeth.
How do Dental Bridges Resolve Tooth Loss?
Dental bridges for patients at our Bismarck practice represent the latest in replacement restorations, and appear and function remarkably like real teeth. Each bridge typically consists of two porcelain crowns, placed on the teeth on either side of the gap. In between there will be one or more artificial, yet natural-looking "filler" teeth. It is possible to anchor dental crowns to your natural teeth or dental implants, or a combination of both to support the bridge.
The Dental Bridge Procedure
This restorative dentistry procedure is generally completed in two office visits. Taking your personal needs into consideration, Dr. Heringer will first determine the scope of the framework and what restorations will be used to support it.
The actual procedure begins once he numbs your mouth with a local anesthetic. Our dentist will need to clean and reduce the teeth on either side of the empty space left by the missing tooth. We will then take an impression of the teeth, which will be used by the lab to fabricate your customized bridge. You will be provided with a temporary bridge until your permanent bridge is placed.
Soon, you will return to our practice, and Dr. Heringer will replace your temporary bridge with your customized one. Any adjustments will be made to ensure the ideal fit prior to placing the bridge.
"It's been night and day. I just feel more confident."
