Laser Dentistry: Case 2
Description
Dillon's twelve year molars erupted but the gum tissue was covering the biting surface of th upper left molar which needed to be addressed. Dr. Heringer recommended removing the excess tissue with the Waterlaser allowing Dr. Heringer to place the filling material onto the surface of the tooth and to allow Dillion to properly keep the area healthy. Dr. Heringer and the staff assured Dillon this process would not hurt and in fact he would be comfortable throughout the treatment. Unsure if this could be true Dillon was ready to go ahead with treatment. Dillon had the extra tissue removed with the laser leaving healthy gum tissue that could be proportioned correctly around his teeth. Dillon was amazed at how comfortable he was throughout the treatment, he stated there was not any pain involved.
